HELP!! Can i drive like this?

i damaged my crossmember very badly yesterday, so badly in fact taht i needed to remove it. my question is, is it safe for me to drive without the crossmember supporting the t-case? im driving a stock height 1994 xj. thank you

No, it supports the transmission and transfer case. If you take it out the tranny and case would only be supported by the engine mounts.

haha on only for u bullet....

i was wheeling at an old quary in just over the CT/RI border and while assending one of the walls my front end um "lost traction" (was slightly in the air) and i came down hard on the crossmember. I was hung up over a hump or earth and thanks to a helpfull push from some of my new wheeling friends **thanks guys** i was able to get down but i drove home with my driveshaft rubbing against my floor.

Today i picked up and installed a new x-member and all is good so thanx for all your help.
