So I was at Pat's and he was helping me rebuild my 231 transfer case, we put a wide chain, 6 gear planetary and super short SYE kit in it

The rebuild kit was short the front out put shaft seal, so we worked around it and did everything else and put the case together the other day

I got the new seal but now we couldn't use a seal driver because the shaft was sticking out of the hole so he very carefully was tapping the seal in with a piece of 2 and a 1/2" pipe but..... the pipe wasn't cut square on the end it was tapered like a chisel

So as he's holding the pipe against the seal, he got the meat of his finger between the pipe and the seal and whacked the pipe with the hammer and whammmm

Blood on the floor, Pat is swearing like a truck driver, he's looking to throw the hammer, but Randy is in the way of the throw and Randy starts running out of the way.

Wasn't funny but watching Randy scramble for cover was kind of funny

Pat goes off to the walk in to get his finger glued back together.

Didn't get to see the cut but I got the jist of the cut by the language used

I figure he had enough of my case so I quietly packed up my my case and parts and brought it home to finish it up.

Pat gets my vote...

Nice filet cut in my palm below the thumb into the meaty part. Twas a nice clean slice and good flap. Doc said “ you cut it right, I can glue it”. Submerged my hand in saline and that brown antibiotic stuff for about 10 minutes. Dried it off and took out the crazy glue. Now I have to sit on my ass for two days for it to set. Could be a lot worse.

That doubler better dam well work!

Brian gets the BPA award for his knee. Mine is a mere hassle…

True I didn't really need it on the LJ and I bought a Teraflex SYE and a Savvy cable shifter originally (which I'm selling at a discount) but after Joe and Terry twisted my arm to get the Rubicrawler and that comes with it's own cable shifter for the Rubricrawler and the transfer case also, I figured I'd go all in and do the SS SYE too just to try it.

New rear driveshaft measures 28 inches now.
