Iceland

Hey everyone!

So, I got the chance to go to Iceland over my spring break back in March. It was really an amazing and breathtaking experience to see another country. To be honest, I forgot that is was a country, and almost always referred to it as an island as my friends and I drove around the perimeter of the island/country. We landed in Reykjavik and then drove around the country, and covered about 1800 miles. The land and scenery are so beautiful and the pictures I took really don't give Iceland the justice it deserves. I definitely recommend going if you get the chance, also go with friends as it is really expensive  :rip:

Offroading was not allowed there, but they had so many dirt roads that just led right off the main road that it almost didn't matter.  You could rent big lifted offroad vehicles for trips like that and basically, just get lost in Iceland. There was so much to see and do there! I did see some locals with TJ's YJ's and JK's.

I hope this link works for you guys to see some of the pictures. If not....ill have to figure something else out.

Wow amazing pics thanks for sharing. Looks so desolate without trees. Really beautiful and personally the aurora is on my bucket list.

Ya, I've heard a lot of military going over there for training, unfortunately, I haven't gotten that chance yet. But I think getting to go over or leisure is way better!

It was soo cool! I loved being there, and we were there during their spring season (same as ours) and you honestly could drive for 5 minutes and drive through 2 different climates. The weather changes so quickly there, but I still want to go back when I can!

Yes! The blue lagoon was amazing, it was naturally heated from inside the earth! You could hear a rumbling up at the surface and there was a sign that said that the rumbling you heard was the earth churning and providing the heat you felt in the water from 2000ft below the surface. It's crazy! Literally the definition of the land of fire and ice!

Yes and yes lol. I went with a small group of 6 but ya there are a ton of tourists there. It is really becoming a huge tourist destination. I agree with Laura, I LOVED it there too, I really want to go back!

It turning into a tourist destination is good for the local economy but hopefully won’t ruin it too bad. Definitely making me wish I went a long time ago.
