95 YJ tub, sitting in the back of my dump truck. 99% rust free, couple dents from getting knocked around the salvage yard. Joey threw in the rear seat and a pass. seat. Nice guy, fair price. Would do business again with him.
NOW, just have to hurc it and swap it. :zbanghead:

Joey is good people.
He races at the Southwick CCFW 4x4 races.
He drives that jeep like a man possessed.

Are you going to wait until the wheeling season is over to do the swap?

It was "Jeep City" at that garage. All kinds of CJ/YJs in different stages of build. Some guys was firing up a hotrod Willey's pickup while I was there. Checked out Joeys race jeep a little. Can't imagine the $$$$ to keep one of those running.

When you're ready to do the swap, give me a ring. I've got the specs/measurements for the 4 frame mounts that need moving.

The guy told me he just did a swap on his jeep and didn't have to move any mounts. Just had to re-drill 2 that were very close. Guess we'll see.

There are a few things different.  The 2 body mounts in front of the rear wheels are a little off, and then the back two (ones on the rear cross member) are off as well.  The 2 in front the wheels are easy, just redrill the body and make 2 small plates with a tapped hole in it for the body mount bolts, these plate slide inside a channel on the tub.  As for the rear 2 I just welded up the old holes and put new ones in.  The only big difference left is the windshield defrost.  The YJ defrost goes through the dash and while the CJ goes through the windshield frame.  My simple solution was to cut out the section from my CJ tub, and then cut out the same size piece from the YJ tub, then weld the CJ piece in the YJ tub.  Seemed simple enough for me.  I also used my CJ tailgate.  It required a little welding for the latches, but was simple as well.  As for the gas fill hole, I left mine open, the license plate covers it and it allows access to some wiring.

Like sean said the 2 in front of the rear wheels, and the 2 on the rear crossmember.

As far as the windshield defroster on my Dads CJ, he hollowed out the back of the stock Dash pad, made a new duct out of sheet metal but he also had to space out his gauges a little bit in order for it all to fit.

For the defrost I was thinking of just cutting out the top of the dash to align with the CJ windshield holes.

Carl there is a duct that runs up behind the dash.  That is why I just cut the CJ tub and welded that piece in the YJ tub.  I got the right sized oval holes, the holes for the duct to mount and the holes for the dash to attach.

Whach you takin bout Lewis...that frame is SWEET! If I were going to swap frames, I would just buy you're old lady's CJ.
