My Girlies 01 Sport TJ has a weird brake problem!? I just noticed while stopping yesterday it shimmied and the front right side of the jeep dropped significantly- ( seems the front right brake was doing all the work to stop the jeep on the front end ) As I let off the brake from a stop the front right end pops back up and it levels off....I'm thinking its definitely brakes but what??

Here is an update- just had all new pads put on, rotors and discs machined back to level and new.

The shop inspected the suspension and found that the arm ( not sure what you call it, but the arm Clayton / skyjacker or ect.. replaces with long arms in lift kits ) its mangled and twisted like she hit something like a rock.....The welds on the support bracket for the arm to frame have broken on the passenger side- thus explaining the dropping of the front right nose. Any suggestions on how to fix, how much, or just going to a short arm lift kit instead of fixing this? Thanks again and I'll keep you posted..Slick

Any one have this happen before? Her Jeep is all stock with 30" tires, and its on 01 with 38k miles on it.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated much - Thanks, Slick

well the factory control arms are really weak, and they do crap out (flatten or open up)... you can get another set for cheap, look around, everyone throws them away when they lift.. or you can get some after market stronger onse... I believe BDS, Tera, and bunch of other companies make stock length tube control arms.

As for the weld, welcome to the weak link, they say they are actually designed to along with the control arms the break away when there is a big accident... but anyway... you can cut off what you have, and have a nice decent welder put a new one on... you can get the mounts from the dealer,, and while you are down there, have the welder check the others just to be safe...
