Just looked at the instructions - after installation..... and see they recommend only a 10 degree +/- change from level on the swaybar arm - I am  down 20 degrees - does it really matter  and if so, why - I would like to understand..

It sounds like the disco's are short. The sway bar is neutral at 0-10 degrees. Best performance. At 20 degrees should work, but in a jeep you may never notice.

well just double checking....  we put the BDS link on when we did his lift, so I was not too sure.

Did you thread the JKS bars out?

so you got the standard disconnect

and not the quicker disconnects which would be the adjustable ones.

according to their site, that style is made in two types.

0 - 2.0" Lift  Pair PN 5007

2.5 - 6.0" Lift Pair PN 9400

Which ones part number did you get.

I know when I ran a sway bar, (back in the DD day) mine were pointed pretty far down and they still did their job correctly.  If you have the correct part numbers, and they don't seem to give you any ill effects, than stick with it.

The only thing it would effect is sever body roll would run out of switching room vs being at the 45 would allow the twist down to 90.  (which would never happen in a leaf spring Jeep)

I have the standard set - #9400... These are a bit shorter than the BDS links we put in - in fact they seem to "fit" better due to the fact that they are shorter and cause the swaybar to be rotated down a bit, which creates more space between the ling and shock bracket on the axle - with the BDS links I was rubbing a bit and figured I would just grind them down when I did the new JKS discos - but no need now.

I guess the 20 degree position is not an issue.... Thanks for the input.
