Got a rain day today. No worky. So I figured if I don't start that gas tank skid it's never going on. Drained the gas tank and pulled off the old one. The only thing holding it together was mud and rust. Near the end of it's life it basicly became a big scoop because I had ripped 1/2 the bottom out. #-o
Took me about 2 hours including draining and filling the tank. [3/4 full of course]. A little tough doing it alone, but I have a good floor jack and me strong like bull.
Now I just need some armor up front.

Im not that strong Karl.....but thanks. Did you buy all new gas tank and senders and crap like that? Cant wait to see your rig, been awhile, must look all different. Karl, take a look at poisen spyder for a front steer skid. That is what I have and its a beefy unit. Bull.

I had ordered a new poly tank, Mine leaks when it's filled to the top.
But it was back ordered for 4-6 weeks and I told them to cancel it.
Screw the new sender, it's a CJ. The kid that I bought it from had just put a new sender in and still couln't get it to work.

The only new additions are:

Filled gaping holes with mesh and bondo-primed.
Put on 'hand me down' corner gaurds.
Painted corners, nerf and rockers black.
Kilby gas tank skid.
BlueTourch 1/4" plate diff cover. My old one leaked from day one and nothing I did would stop it. It don't leak now.

Did the diff cover install take 6 hours like the last time with me and heep? What a day...lol. Bull.

Nope, live and learn. We had fun though.

Maybe an hour, by myself. 1st time it hasn't leaked since i got the rig.
