KJ Transmission Q.

My 2002 KJ's been shifting funny lately, it hesitates a few rpms from when it normally should going up a hill or excelerating, then quickly shifts back down to compensate for the sudden jump in rpms. It has just over 70k miles and have had a transmission seal replaced in the past. (aarr on the way to my first jeep jamboree) Does it just need adjusting or does anyone have experience with this?

I think she's planning on having it done at Foxy Fast Lube when she get's her oil changed tomorrow. They have some sort of fancy tranny flush machine there...

the machine is cool gets all the old fluid out

Thats what I was considering... (It seems like a full flush that we can't get by just dropping the pan and replacing the fluid) I may have my Dakota tone the same way...

Didn't that post go around recently where some shops in LA were claiming to hok up the machine but never did?

Changing the fluid could make it worse, DO NOT DO THAT

Too late, already done,

The flushing machine was out for service - so they just added a little ATF (it was a little low)

Seemed to help
