OK, I just got my Skid Row belly skid. The instructions say I need to mount part of the plate to the passenger side spring bolt (frame mount). It specifies the threaded part of the bolt being inward. Well - Problem- When I did my lift, I had to cut all of the OEM spring bolts to get them out. And when I put new bolts in (grade 8), I mounted them with the threads outward (so I could bang them out with a hammer if needed). And they were shorter.
So, First - do I need grade 8? The longest they come in (locally) are 4.5"
Second - does anyone have the stock bolts that they want to get rid of? I'd be willing to pay for them...
Plus - can I just swap the bolt easily - or do I have to remove the front shackle bolt to release tension on the spring?
