Long Arm 1/4 Ton Manche

Got this piece finish trimmed up and tacked back in place. The next steps are gonna take some more time, but getting to this point feels like a pretty big accomplishment. We ended up with very tight gaps along the outside where it will be most visible and in the bed. We have a little patching to do on the inner bedsides. Still not bad though. All in all pretty happy with how it looks fitted back together.

Seriously! And those blutooth DS's are amazing :rotflmao:
Lol, driveshaft is on the list of things he needs to order. Wasn’t any reason to order it before the suspension was all set up though. This rear axle still needs to be ripped out, reageared and locker installed, converted to disk brakes, and new brake lines run. We will make sure there’s a driveshaft on hand when it goes back in. But prior to that stuff there’s really no point.

Lol, this one made me laugh. Tools are one thing Emily never fights me on. She views them as an investment. For 11 years she didn’t have a car payment, and she knows why.

Rear bed mounts are fully welded in. Bed bolts down with 6 bolts now. Still might add 2 more right at the back of the bed. Also did some more trimming both front and rear. Bouncing around a little while we wait for the rear shock hoops to show up. As soon as they do we have some giant holes we need to cut in the bed.

We do want to have a crossover bar between the shock hoops that’s removable so the bed can still come off. Anyone used any of the tube couplings you can buy for something like that? We could do a 4 bolt flange but I don’t think it would look as good.

Rock sliders are done. Trimmed and capped in the front. Had to flex the Jeep out to make sure everything was going to clear. Extended in the rear and added one more tie in on either side. Also reinforced the door hinges that like to try and tear off these old Comanches. And finally started working on rear shock mounts. Lowers are tacked in. Uppers we have a plan and have measured for shocks so we have a height to aim for.

Shock mounts all figured out and tacked in tonight. He’s hoping it moves under its own power within the next month. The fab work is nearly done. He can’t wait to wheel it! Definitely plans to join the club once he has a roadworthy Jeep.
