I received the message below from the MA Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEA), please forward to your club members for attendance. It is important that we have MA registered residents attend to voice our disapproval.

Bottomline: We do no support Forest Reserves! There is no threat to the Forest and their biodiversity under the current management. All this will do is prevent the public to use these lands for recreational use.

Dear Interested Public:

The Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEA) in cooperation with
the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (DFW) and the Department of
Conservation and Recreation (DCR) Division of Water Supply Protection
and Bureau of Forest Fire Control and Forestyry invites you to attend
and participate in the following upcoming open public meetings. Topics
of discussion include the proposed large-scale forest reserve system,
and draft Resource Management Plans for DCR's Central Berkshire Region
and DFW's Berkshire Highlands Forest Management Zone.

The purpose of these open public meetings is to share information,
answer questions, and listen to what you like about the proposals and
your ideas for improvements.

Please check the EOEA, DFW and, DCR web sites for specific information
pertaining to the meetings including information about the proposed
Forest Reserve system and the draft Resource Management Plans.
