So Im still having a sputtering issue with my rig, after changing plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, fuel pump and filter.again, seems to have gotten a little better.
While I was under the hood with it running I could here an exhaust leak,I think my ex manifold could be cracked, and depending on where the crack is it could be causing some of the sputtering, depending how close to one of the cylinders it is.Anyway anbody ever change one,and how diffcult is it to do(by looking at it,it doesnt look that easy.)Or is there any way to possibly patch it for a temp job until I get some extra cash.

I would start to spray W-D4o just on the ex manifold  bolts for a week befor I even start,  :yup:

WD-40 IS NOT a rust penetrant, more like rust preventative.

Try PB Blaster instead, works way better.

I've used JB weld on exhaust manifolds before and it did work though it needs a mechanical attachment to hold and seal.  I used it on threads that were mostly gone.  Slobbered it with JB weld and hammered the threaded pieces together.  Lasted for a year or two then we pulled the motor and put in a V8.

Deep Creep foam from our past wrenchfests seems to work faster than PB - in a few minutes instead of a few hours...  Just my  :2cents:

The next time I go to acme I will buy me a tube of Deep Creep Foam,Thanks.
