Okay so the downfall of being 20,000 miles from your jeep for a year at a time is that you have too much time to think about your options and no chance to run with your first idea.

That being said I have rethought my suspension plans and have a new idea, I'm not sure if it will work though so I'm asking you guys to see what everyone else thinks. I have realized that full coils on my YJ is a waste of money cause I could have bought a TJ for that, But I think if I use black diamonds original XCL lift in the front end to get the flex of coils and a spring over in the rear, I should have a good balance and a capable suspension, (yes Mark I know you have suggested this before). My question is will my jeep sit level with this mix and match, and if not will I be able to tweak it till it does.

any ideas and suggestions are welcome.  Thanks guys.

sounds like a plan but your my only fab guy and you'll be down south by the time I get back to try.

but if we're fabbing it up anyway, why not fab in a 44 front end to handle the 35s that its gonna be begging for

ROAD TRIP    then I can test the suspension out real life on some down home, er, down south trails once its done

Nice thing is that the coils will give you adjustability. Do the spring-over in the rear, then sewt the front to match with either the correct coil, or some ACOS, or coil spacers, etc...Or if you go coil-over in front, they will be adjustable.

right right, I have a lot of memory problems but back to the point, you think an xj front end and a spring over will work and I am willing to try it so whether a road trip is in order or not I will be ready to sacrifice my jeep for the good of testing new theories. not to mention the hight, ride, and flex I'll get out of it

yeah the superlift one is 7 inches though and I am not looking for a set of 38s under my little yj, I want to make a toned down version that will sit a set of 35s nicely
