Nashville

Just spent 4 days in Nashville with 20 friends, family, and friends of friends. 19 of us stayed at an Airbnb that is two town homes next to one another so it wasn't too packed for sleeping quarters. As a group we scheduled a late lunch, brunch, and dinner. All but dinner went smoothly and even still we eventually got seated and served in not too bad of a timeframe.

The bar scene and live music is just like everyone says it is, just a huge party. We were surprised to actually be able to get right into most bars at night and find tables/get drinks reasonably easily even though we planned on not going out every night.....

Our biggest luck out of the weekend was the music label record Big Machine 20 putting up a concert stage at the end of broadway and getting a free concert to see Riley Green, Raelynn, Carly Pearce, Sheryl Crow, and Rascall Flatts rounding out the night (Gary Levox from Rascall Flatts came out earlier in the night to perform a new song him and Akon collabed on which we missed along with Sheryl Crow since we were out at dinner). If you're into modern country music at all it was a killer show to just stumble upon.

We toured the grand Ole Opry which was really cool but didn't get time to see the country music hall of hame or Ryman Auditorium. Gonna have to go back to see those.

One of my favorite stops of the weekend was the Lane Motor Museum my dad and I went to. Its a very unique car collection housed in an old bakery. We got $5 off our tickets cause the ac was out so that was nice..
There entire collection is available to scroll online but definitely worth checking out in person: https://www.lanemotormuseum.org/our-collection/
Along with plenty of production cars and motorcycles there were some very uinque home built cars, motorcycles, and planes.

Overall great trip. I am back home battling a wicked head cold so I guess it was the right move coming back in time to have the holiday to recover.....

Broadway was way too much for me. It was loud AF at 10am on a Wednesday. Hitting a show at The Blue Bird was more my speed.

Sounds like a great trip Joe! That museum has a super interesting collection, that Aurora - 1957 caught my eye when I was scrolling through.

That was definitely one of the more interesting ones. They have a video on youtube of the restoration they did to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3KkKanZ_iA

My parents went to Nashville for their 25th anniversary.  My mom who used to sing in a band as a late teen/early adult, got to sing on the Ryman and as part of the package, they recorded it to a CD, yes a CD, it was a few years ago. haha.
