Decided to hold odd on the Cj7 Projrct for the time being and decided to go forward with a lift and tires for my 03 Rubicon.  I definately want Baja Claws, the rest is up for grabs.  The lift kits i'm thinking of are RE, OME, and Full Traction.  I initially want to go with 33's but i'm sure will go with  35' down the line.  Are 35's too big for a daily driver? So my questions are, which would be the best kit, if there is such a thing.  I realize DPG Offroad puts together a nice kit with everything you need.  Can I put 35's on now, and just do the gears(4.10 now) when I have the money, and upgrade to 4.88 or something.  The Rubicon is a daily driver right now, but I have a ten mile roundtrip to work.  Also not sure whether to stick withe the stock wheels, or go to thr MT.  Any help or insight would be appreciated.

I run 35's on my DD with no problems at all.  For your second question. RE, OME and FT are all going to hold up, just do yourself a favor and do some homework BEFORE you make that decision (I would bring a camera and a notepad to the GAJR). The best kit is the kit that works for your needs, wants and your wallet. You are probably going to find that your 4.10's aren't cutting it, but they will work.  You'll most likely want to upgrade to something like 4.88's. As far as the stock Moabs on 35 you will HAVE to get wheel spacers to keep them, Again that's a personal choice. I myself would never use them, but that's just me.  I know guys who swear by them and run their stock Moabs with 35's.  For me my build came down to three things safety, quality and ability. Keep that in the back of your mind and you'll do fine.

Good luck

Overlooked your tire question.
I would not go with a directional tire,
you wont always go forward....
Been there, done that with my '71 Bronco. :disagree:

My Baja's go just fine in reverse  :grinyes: :mad02:

Ask damoN.
