Neutral Safety Switch

This for a 2002 Grand Cherokee. Auto and 6 cyl. with 47000 miles. I had it in for a oil leak and they said the neutral safety switch was leaking, so they replaced it. They said it is hydraulic switch, I believed them and took home the vehicle. Does this sound correct? From the pictures I found, it may be a hydraulic switch. However, I still have an oil leak, and so for the 3rd time I have brought it back with a oil leak complaint, stating it looks like it is coming from the rear of the engine. I checked the valve cover, clean, so I'm thinking rear main. I wonder what they'll say is the problem this time. I hate bringing my vehicle places to get fixed, but with a warranty why pay to fix it yourself.

If the neutral safety switch was leaking, wouldn't you have a tranny fluid leak? (i.e. not an oil leak). :?

So the switch uses ATF, good to know. The spot always seemed spread out, so I thought it could have been something other than motor oil, something thinner, but now I see drops of oil on the engine and floor, that is motor oil for sure. I guess I should have been a little more curious for the facts before. I'm really thinking that I got taken for a ride. Wait till I call there tomorrow. I feel like a real newbie. Think I take great care of one jeep and beat the snot out of the other and guess which one gives me the trouble. Well untill this weekend at least.

It would seem to reason that the neutral safety switch would be located somewhere in the area of the shift mechanism. Hence my conclusion that the switch would be through the side of the tranny case, and would leak tranny fluid if anything.
