I have no complaints at all with my BFG Mt's

I use 33x12.50x15 seem to be lasting quite awhile.

I would pick Trxuss Mt's as a second choice.

I think my BFG MT do a better job than my GoodYear MTR's however, this is not a fair comparison, being the MT's are 35" and the MTR's are 31"

Same as yours Steve, needed to air down...

lastly I am not 100% on the durabilty of thier side wall.... far to many posts lately about side wall punctures and holes. May be more plys, but maybe they are thinner...

dont shoot the messenger

Claws: Cool, but expensive and not fantastic on the road in the rain.

Swampers (radial or otherwise): Awesome off-road, expect 10k miles on the highway and lots of trouble balancing them. If you are going to go for Swampers, do it right and get the TSL/SXs...

Goodyear MTRs: Excellent on dry rocks and everything off-road except mud (although the bigger sizes and 15" wheel models have better cleaning than the 16" wheel sizes), pretty good in the rain of the highway. Great mileage.

BF Goodrich MT KMs: Awesome off-road (I had 33x12.5s), great sidewall traction, excellent cleaning, ok in rain on the highway- but I had a few skids here and there... Good mileage- expect 50k miles on a set of well balanced MTs.

BF Goodrich All-Terrains: Simply the best all-terrain tire out there. Amazing in the snow. Crappy in mud. Excellent mileage- 50k miles easy. An excellent investment.

Pro-Comp tires: Unknown, but Justin had a set of the x-Terrains and so does Todd (Spidwre on CTJ). Ask them.

Cooper/etc: Get what you pay for, except Ron is running a set of some kind of new Firestone MTs that looked SICK and were reasonably priced.

I'm running the same tire as Ron. Firestone Destination M/T in the 33-12.5-15 size. It's good on the street, has a really thick side wall, and works great on the trail. Looks similar to the MTR lugs, except larger and extend over to the sidewall. At 10 psi they worked awesome, and will try lower pressures next time out.
When someone says firestone, you think of suv's flipping down the street, but I would reccommend these any day. I never was a firestone fan, but these tires have me thinking differently now.

yea i was lookin at the interelco TrXus mts as well how do they do in the rain i was afraid the claws wouldent do good in the rain they look so damn cool though...

i have to say im so glad im joing here insted of there i posted this over there and god only 2 replys here in like 2 hours i got 8. just sayinlol

You have to buy left & rights also, and besides that....your
spare would want to be different (just a MT), this way it could be mounted
on either side and be safe at highway speeds, directionals arent ment to
be used on the street rolling backwards.

Good point! I haden't even thought of that.

I have the BFG MT's 33x12.5x15 and they work pretty good. They have a 3 ply sidewall like the MTR's but I've aldready had a sidewall give out. It was replaced for free by BFG though. Those TrXus MT's look pretty cool too.

ok got th trxus mts ordered them today, for mounting the tire stroe on rt5 should do it right?

neway thanks a bunch guys

yea i have American racing steel rims right now was lookin fer a new set of cheap rims for these so i could switch to the 32s when i go to RI cause they'll do good in the sand cause they almost bald

the claws are a good tire but the do not come close to measuring their size. a 33 inch tire will measure 31 and change.
the bfg mud terrains are a great choice for any wheeler
lastley the trxus m/t's are pretty nice. my buddy just got a set of them in 35 for his pickup and their great
