Just installed the Warn 9.5 ti in the Rubi. Install very easy. It worked fine for all of five minutes then nuttin'. I was respolling the line for the first time to stretch the line per instructions. I was in my flat driveway when the winch would no longer take in line. There was barely enough load to stretch the line properly. The overheat indicator light never came on. It will give line out fine but not in. No fuses blown, and the battery, although stock seems fine. Unhooked the positive and negatives checked to see if I somehow cut the wire insulation during the install but all was fine. Reconnected the wires to the battery and the same thing. What gives??? When I hit the toggle switch to respoll line all I hear is a click coming from the winch each time I hit the toggle switch.

I'm not too mechanically inclined but I really dont think I screwed this one up. I will be sure to let you know. Calling Warn in the morning.

Ouch!!!! Shouldn't be happening... I would have a cow if that happened to mine.... I wouldn't even mess with fixing it... have them replace it.. too expensive to be braking that soon...

Good-luck.../marty

Hey everyone- just to give you an update on my situation with the Warn 9.5. I ordered it through Winch Depot.com. I was not able to find a phone number for them as they are an on line distribution company. My Visa card company told me that they are known as United Web Sales. I spoke to Victor who was very decent and understanding of my situation. He stated he would ship out a new winch to me on Monday. They will contact UPS to pick up the old winch. If all goes as Victor states they company is a pleasure to do business with (and they have decent prices). I will post an update to let you know how things go.....Rick

Hey!!!!.... I've winched an etire club with my 9500ti and never, never, never had any issues... forget about the electronics.. it's spools a hell of allot faster than most...

I won't say anything bad about Superwinch but I will say that mine has pulled more than most and still working like a charm....

:doublefinga:

Thanks Marty....I thought the Warn name had a solid reputation??? Well see in time. The way I see it practicaly everything in the Jeep, such as the lockers is electrical...and that runs great. (knocking on wood) Anyway just wanted to vent and share my Warn experiences...

So far a I love my 9.5, so you know, I bought from the Depot, and it had taken about 2 weeks and still no winch, so I emailed them and no response. Then the next day I got my Visa bill, and it had their charge listed, with the name, and a phone number right on the bill... I called and they seem surprised that I was calling, they gave me the tracking number and it came the next day... I was a little scared, but they pulled through for me.

Good call
