Non-Jeep related but... HELP!!!

I'm working on the brakes for my kid's car. The hardlines from front to back went, so I replaced them.

Now when bleeding the brakes I have No flow to the rear passenger side, and limited flow to the front drivers side. The front Pass and rear driver sides are locked up tight and won't release now.

This is on an '80 something Mercury Sable. The Master Cyl has 4 lines out, 2 each front and rear. The fronts are on the drivers side of the master and the rear lines are on the passenger side of the master. We did not touch the front, just the rear lines. The rear lines go back to some aluminum block which then has lines going to the left and right sides.

Any ideas what the hell could be going on???

I know the answer!!!

That car has a brake proportioning valve on that side of the car.

Put the control arm on a jackstand to make it think the wheels are on the ground and you will get brake fluid pressure.

But Diagonally? Or do you thing I crossed the lines going to the back?

I'll give that a shot tonight... I DO have the entire car on stands!!! :)

Just put the jackstands on the rear control arms to make the valve think the wheels are on the ground, those cars are funny like that. I don't think you crossed any lines. Thats just the way they are (fords) Took me awhile to figure that out myself, even the 30 years experienced techs. I worked with never figured it out (I showed em' how to do this) and all the taurus, sable brake jobs we're easy after that.

Cool, I'll try this tonight when I get home... Know where this stupid valve is located, and how is it actuated?

MAGIC

A) It worked... well mostly.

B) I found the "valve" it's part of that stupid distribution block, and I don't think it's working very well...

I just finished bleeding the lines, and buttoned it all up, the rear drivers side still has a little drag to it, but screw it, this thing is such a bucket anyways...
