Oil Leak Questions

I've had oil seaping down the front of my oil pan for a while now and I'm having a hard time finding the source of the leak.
I've cleaned everything up that I could and at first I thought it might be the oil pan gasket.
I'm not sure now...I'm thinking now that the leak is comming from behind the vibration damper pulley. There is oil all over the timing case cover. Is it common for the crankshaft oil seal to go bad on the 4.OL?
Am I screwed?
Is it safe to still drive it?

Sounds good to me.
I'll do a oil change this weekend and swap back to Dino oil. The synth stuff may just be finding a weak spot.
