Oil type

Good morning,

I have a 2013 jku rubicon and I was just seeing if anyone has strayed away from the manufacturer recommended 5w 20 oil and gone with something else to help with the engine? I feel like I have seen it someone on one of the many jeep forums but can't remember.

Been using 5W30 works well and is an option in the owners manual

I have been running 5w30 for years in my 3.6.

The people who wrote the manual know more about oil than the people on any forum you find.

I sick with the 5w20 engine won’t live a long life regardless so not overthinking it
