I,ve been hunting around for a lift for the 06 tj and so far ome gets my vote as far as springs go anyway.Does anybody have any imput on their lift kit,s etc please give me a holla back.

they make good springs and good shocks.

However the rest of the jazz in their kit is the same as everyone else. Simple bolts and brackets.

What size lift are you looking for? What are your main concerns? Longevity? Ride? Off Road ability? How much money... you throw enough money at anything and you will get everything.....

OME make great springs, but only 2.5 is available in a kit. You can get great 4" coils but then you need to mix kits and brands.

My thoughts are, even though the OME is a good spring, only having a 2.5" lift is a bit of a high price at over $500. Being if you ever add a heavy bumper, winch, tire carrier, your expensive OME 2.5 coils can sag very quickly to a no lift.

There are many basic kits that will work, and then you can easy spend 2k without batting any eye.

So let start off with how much lift do you want? Ideally

Want it to still ride like a daily Driver?

How often will it see the non tar areas?

About how much would you like to spend?

Lastly, are you planning on adding to this lift later on to make it better, like add control arms, etc...

Ok here it is ,since it,s a daily driver 98.2 % of the time im looking to improve the factory ride, next im looking to improve offroad but height and tire size is not my main concern.Im looking at 32 or 33 in tires with a 2.5 spring lift and a 1.25 body lift. When we do go off road it wont be anything crazy lol so i quess im just tring to change the stance of the tj to more of a bulldog stance look .

If all you want is a 32 or 33 inch tire. Two kits that I have had exposure to is the Teraflex S4T kit that comes with Lower adj control arms, 4 inch springs, quick discos, rancho rs5000, steeringbox skid, and misc hardware. You can get this with the rancho shocks for $1009 at www.samsoffroad.com. My only sugestion would be buy a front adj track bar and shock relocators. This will get you going on a nice stance and can still upgrade as you get more into the offroad stuff. This is what I'm currently running on my Rubi.

The Second Kit was a Rubicon Express kit that I helped RubiRick with last Spring. Nice kit but you will have to get some detail about price and what came with the base kit from him. I know alot of what we installed that weekend was extra. But I was impressed with the fit and quality. He got the 3.5 inch springs and his ride hight is the same as mine.

You can get flooded with info here but the second big question is Money!

Don't be afraid to ask questions!

2" budget boost. 1" body lift.

Or

ACOS on all 4 corners and some shocks.

I ran OME 2.5" meduim springs with 32's and stock control arms for years and had great success. I used a cheep set of DT3000 shocks and the Jeep flexed and rode great! You can get the springs for about $300 for Rocky-Road.com and installation will be really easy.

Oh yeah, I've had the budget boost and also Rubicon Express 3.5" springs and the OME was definetly the best setup.
