Products to stay away from

From recent experience stay away from the following products:

Mean Green: Dual battery tray - This thing LOOKS nice, but the fabrication must have been done by a 5 year old... None of the welds are solid, they may as well have used super glue to assemble the thing.  Very dissapointed in MG on this one as they are supposed to have nice stuff.  TJ's also have a battery temp sensor in the stock tray, MG mentions this in their install instructions, but they couldn't take 5 seconds to cut a hole for this???

Flex-a-lite: Their fan itself seems okay so far, but nothing fits!  Their own bracketry doesn't even fit their own product, never mind lining it up with the vehicle, I had to modify 2 of the 3 brackets to get everything together.  I expect some "adjustment" when fitting into the vehicle, but not to afix their brackets onto their unit, where's the QC here! The holes to bolt the brackets on looked like a raw tube with a helicoil kit in it and only 3 of the 4 were any good.

Smittybuilt: Light guards - Nothing fit, not much else to say here, looks good, but nothing sat flush where it was supposed to with the exception of the rear marker guards, but if you have an antenna or trail flag mount it puts the light too far out from the body in my opinion.  The rest of the guards just plain didn't fit/look at all like they belonged there.  I didn't even bother installing these, just sent 'em back.  - Too bad too, cuz I'f I'm wheeling with donny I hear he likes trees would have liked the protection if he led me into one...  :rotflmao:

I've had issues with a few Smittybuilt products....After sending a few e-mails and not any returned.
Not going to purchase anything from them any time soon.
