New years day, good day to start it over. With some help from the little guy we got the interior out, flares off, nose off and started removeing wires/plumbing.Hope to have the tub loose and ready to lift off tommorow night.Heeeeere we go!

yeah pics are always cool to check out......

What year CJ is it?
I did a tub swap on my 83/79 and it was actually pretty straightforward, I learned a lot and of course earned the re-run nickname in the middle of that but I think only Mark and my other parts source Brian know the whole story behind that. haha

Pretty much got the tub ready to lift off, just got to take the windsheild off,all the mounts are undone and all the dash is out, fuel tank out.May take pictures when it starts going together. Re-run 84 had a 4cyl 4spd. Mark, not exactly sure how far I'm going yet but as it stands now---302 to C6/clocked 300 wheelbase stretch, new wiring and plumbing, full family cage. Thinking about--stretching the tub to match the wheelbase and add a little more room(10-12") Doubler for the t-case because I dont really want to change from 4.10 in the axles and I think for the most part,if I go 4-1 in the 300 it will be to low for most trails? We will see as time goes on.

Aw come on Draz, you know a school bus nose is always a good thing to have around, you never know when your gonna need it

TJ, are you sure you only have 2? It's hard to tell back there.

NOPE MINE ARE IN THE BACK YARD  THE KIDS LOVEM PS DON'T TELL CJ K&J WHEN THEY GO TO FLA. I'M GIVING THEM ONE  SSHHHH :avid: :mad02:

Back again, got started on putting things back together the last couple nights. Set the engine/trans in the frame over the weekend and put the yj tub on so we could set everything up for clearance and fit.Made a set of engine mounts last night and got them welded in place. Tonight I made the crossmember for the trans and got that tacked to where I think I'm happy? Took out the input shaft on the t-case so it could be bolted to the trans so I could figure out how far up it needed to get clocked and check on driveshaft clearance around the side of the automatic and crossmember---don't see any issues "yet" and it looks like I'll have a flat skidplate from the oilpan to the rear of the t-case.Took the tub back off.

New engine mounts and body mounts all welded up,crossmembers done and bolted on. Painted the frame today and bent up a couple new brake lines.Body mounts are on waiting for the tub.Engine/trans hanging in crane ready to drop in. Starting to look like i'm getting something done.

Mods, wanna move this to nuts/bolts,guess I put in in the wrong place to start with. Thanks,Scott

Mickey Mouse put a damper on getting things done lately.Put the engine/trans in today as well as bolted the tub and grill on.Bolted the steering column and pedals in also.Question and thoughts on heat--most of the heating parts and controls need to be replaced. What are your thoughts on not using any stock parts and using an aftermarket{marine} heater box with remote ducts and a simple switch and wiring and eliminating all the stock boxes/fans and heater core? Input please, thanks

Hood, windshield, dash on today.Did a little body work and started to get the wiring put back together, that looks to be my opsticle of the whole build.
