It was nice meeting some of you at the MA Forester's meeting in western MA about a month ago. Thought I'd bring this over for you since I know that you're up in this state wheeling also.

Proposed legislation in Vt
Please look at proposed House bill H-421 which seeks to limit access to "class IV" highways in the green mountain state. It would force Jeepers to obtain a town permit before conducting trail runs, and could close land because towns could not provide adequate emergency services to the length of these unimproved roads. Feel free to write the legislators sponsoring the bill in regards to its impact on our sport. and let them know that we are not out there to damage the forests or cause problems on current legal roads, and that we benefit the communities in which we wheel.

Make sure when you e-mail the Reps that you include the "Tourism" side in your letter, otherwise it may fall on deaf ears if you're from out of state. Noticed that the "Economic Impact Survey" thread is a few down from this one. If you haven't taken the time to fill this out, please do so soon. Our reps need this latest info if they're to have any impact at the meetings they go to, trying to stop this loss of trails that's hitting us so hard right now.

Will see you on the trails this year!
