Ok, I have a leak somewhere around my windshield and I have done everything everybody said to fix it. It's just a few drops so I am not that concerned with it. But the drops of water tend to find their way into the stereo. Does anybody know of a way to cover the stereo so the rain/water don't get into the stereo and burn it up?

fold some plastic, or aluminum foil.... or better yet, find the leak.... It took me a year to find mine... would not leak with the hose, but only when it would rain hard out... ended up not being the windshield, or the cowl gasket, (even though I replaced both  ) but the cowl vent outside on the hood area... the water would run down the windshield and flow right under the plastic cover for the vent, and for some reason the drip edge design would not do its job... thus I would get a few drips right above the radio... used some foam tape, like the kind for windows and ran on the inside of the plastic cowl cover,, no leaks since then....

I think you may have told me that either before or on a different site. But I did that and we haven't had a good rain since. So I guess you could say it stopped the leak.

But I want something to listen to as I am cruising around in this nice weather other than the 31's. I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas.

A little pricy, but it will keep the radio dry, and your valuables safe when you have the top down. Get a tuffy stereo console.

Leave the burnt out radio in the dash as a decoy.
Plus you get two cup holders and an arm rest. :D

Problem with the bag idea is heat
The radio won't last long if it heats up

Unlike a TJ, the YJ stereo is easy to get to from under the dash even when it is installed... Friends of mine have taken plastic, like the kind that file folders are made of, and bend it on a v or U shape and place it over it.... then put a spacer in and zip tie it, so that leaves room to breath.....

Also you can use sheet metal, like the kind on duct work, but that can be a pain to work with..

I'm with Mark, it's kinda pricy but I went with the tuffy console in my last jeep and loved it. My YJ has one too but I've been to lazy to move the radio lately. It's an awesome design though, puts the radio right at your fingertips :D
