im interested in purchasing a nicely done wrangler with dana axles, lift, big tires with low miles and a low price (the guy doesnt even know theres danas on it), anyways i took pics and someone told me the power steering box was leaking, and id like to have the garage fix it thats selling it. but i have no idea where it is, can someone show me in a pic or explain to me where it is on an 01?

thanx

im really a dumbass when it comes to these things, is it in this pic?

They all come with Dana axles. Some are just stronger than others. It will have a Dana 30 in the front (they all do) and a Dana 35 (weak) or better a Dana 44. Unless the guy swapped them for something stronger. I think the steering box is right under the bumper on the right side of the pic. Kinda circle looking thing that sticks out. But I could be mistaken. There is a linkage that goes from the firewall behind the steering wheel down to that box. Check along that line. Hope that helps.

oh i wasnt aware that they came with dana axles, the front is a 30 and the rear is a 44, so that means they came stock on the vehicle? damn i thought the guy had put them on there

From the look of the spring in that picture you may want to put an adjustable track bar in the front
