Ram transmission issues? maybe?

My sons truck is an '05 1500 3.7L
All at once, no warning, it doesn't want to move. If he revs up the engine, it will move slowly a little bit.
Just enough to park it next to the cherokee that doesn't move either...lol
His buddy's good scan tool doesn't see anything wrong.
Any thoughts? I thought torque converter but he says the scan tool would have found something.
 
How's the fluid level and condition? Could it have a slow leak that ran the fluid low enough to have it not move?

Mine didn’t react that bad. Had a tps low voltage code. Changed tps and did a fluid service to make sure the pan was clean. No issues after that.

Yeah the clean scan is confusing him Pat.
Don't know what tool it was but it's packed in a suitcase size hard shell.
 
Bringing this back to life.
Looking for a 42 RLE.
Needs to be 4 Wire plugs.

Good donors are in the picture.
4 plug wire connectors &  2wd
