reciever tube on bumper.

I wa wonder how much reciever tube is on a rear bumper. I am finally getting around to building mine and feel I have too much sticking out. I am using 4"x2" box, and the brackets hold it 1.5" away from the rear cross member, I see that on detours the hole for the pin is almost at the edge.

just wanna make sure i can get a hitch to go in the reciever.

I flush mounted the reciever tube on my front bumper. The pin goes in behind the 2x6 box tube bumper. I"ll be doing the same on the rear bumper when it's built. It has a much cleaner look to it.

mainly I am wondering how much reciever tube is needed for a standard slide in hitch.
