I broke one of the frame pieces in my bestop super top and have a temporary fix going, before I order a new frame I was wondering if anyone had tried the Rock Gear tops that attatch to the rollbar :?:

They look pretty cool and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get one I just wondered if anyone had feedback about them.

p.s. If I do get the rock gear top I'll be selling the supertop 3 years old with one frame issue (probably cheap to fix) but I really want to try this new style top.

will the door surrounds work on my YJ :?:

or are they only for the TJs

I've been checking into it on every website with an opinion and the general concensus is that they are great. I have pretty much decided to go with one but I'll try to keep myself from rushing this one. I'm sure the bestop part will be cheap enough to replace if I decide not to buy the new one.

But they just look soooooo cool 8)

Those are wicked cool. They are the fastback design which is super hard to find. Found one for my cj but couldnt gather al the hardware to make it work......luv that fastback. Bull.

If decide to fix the supertop- let me know. I just bought a new on for my YJ so I have all the old supertop hardware from the previous top (the mice ate the canvas)

Ok does this company still exist? If so what is there website? I am in search of a Fastback/Sprint/halftop type top for my 1985 CJ7 and it is impossible as bestop discontinued them for the CJ7....

Funny....I have the canvas but no frame. Bent the frame flopping the CJ, but the canvas came out ok.

Whoops, forgot to mention, I got the rock gear top about 2 months ago. I emailed the owner directly, got a fullback top and two peice doors. I havn't put the top on yet but the construction is great. the doors are the best I've seen yet. the company has a great product and they are good to deal with when you can get in touch with them.

Hay re-run I would be interrested in the soft top for cheap. For my 86cj7 with a 87 something body. Thanks

I actually sold it to a buddy while the hard top was still on my jeep, not the best call but I needed the cash and I guess it worked out alright for me in the end
