Rough Clutch

I have a 95 XJ with a standard trans. This doesn't happen all the time, mostly when it is cold. 1st gear letting off the clutch, the whole jeep will shake. Could this be a bad pressure plate or just an abused clutch?

How tough would it be to convert from standard to auto?

I'd probably be easier to swap trucks than computers. Need the AW4 computer from behind dash (It's seperate). You may need to swap to the auto main computer too. It interacts with the AW4 computer. You'll need the wiring harness section for it. The transmission. Sometimes the splines are different count / length between auto and stick so possibly another transfer case. The interior console and shifter. The interlock setup between the key and the shifter. A new brake pedal.

Did you want that big of a project?

I've converted 3 cars from auto to stick. They are always a big pain. I'd rather swap a lift kit than an auto to a stick or vice versa.

DETOUR RULES! :grinyes:

Changed out both motor mounts.  Driver side was TOAST!

Changed out tranny mount, that one was more like a sponge than a mount!
