I am working a frame up build of a CJ7 which will be converted to SOA.

I want to put a shackle reversal on at the same time. I have looked into rubicon express and MORE but haven't found anything that is made directly for the CJ7 without spending beaucoup $$$ to piece something together.

Has anyone done this mod for a CJ7? If so, what did you do and how did it work for you?

Thanks,
Chip

Chip, I have done it on 2 CJs, If you are gonna be going SOA and doing that welding anyways its fairly easy.

make new front mounts that are solid, weld em on. make rear shackle mounts (I used a hole saw and a piece of tub through the frame.)

just involves welding, you will probably need to trim you fenders to accomdate the axle moving back as it compresses and you will have to buy or make a ling travel driveshaft.

It really improved the ride of both, but if you are building it as an dedicated wheeler it works against your traction when climbing a ledge.

Don't waste you time unless it will be a dd
