My bumper and winch should be in at detours within a week or so and I'm not sure what to do next.

I'm thinking skid plates but I don't know where to start and which brands to trust and which to stay away from.

any advise :?: :?:

I have 2 skids...neither one on my tj but .......I have a poisen spyder steer skid which is a great price and very heavy duty. Also I have a warn engine skid, that seemsto have good coverage,, but isnt as thick as I might like, but it was free. Thats all I got, Bull.

wow
Thanks for the link steve
that engine skid is awesome I was hesitant on the engine skids because they all seem to make accessing the oil drain nearly impossible but that one looks like it really took that into account.

as far as the gas tank I have the plastic tank with a stock skid for now, but I gotta wait for another paycheck before I decide how much I can order :(

thanks Mark, but I am capable of answering on my own :D

BTW how is the bumper coming. (is it ready yet :yup: )

What have you guys heard, if anything about Teraflex's Gas Tank Skid?
It's says you can bolt it right over the existing stock skid plate.

Well, I have not heard good or bad, but I would rather pay the $50 more that the Warn costs and get that one (or Kilby), it will raise your gas tank 1" (which we always hit) and you get rid of the thin OEM.

Even though I am a fan of Tera stuff, I am not to sure how that skid will do being I could see it getting pealed back wards if you grabbed that front on something. It does not seem to go to high up the front side. :?:
