At the rear of my Yota I can smell gas, so I take it into the dealer. They say the tank is rusted and cracked and the fuel line is cracked as well. $1300 they want to fix it. I said, suck what? I checked the gas cap and the tank was pressurized, so how can my tank be cracked? I'll check the lines when I get it back tomorrow. Any other thoughts on what I should look for?

I got a yota too man. Bought it for $250 bucks. For that price I'd just buy a "new" one.

I can beat that price if interested.

How bout a Jeep question next time.....

I know, I know...its the dang Yota that keeps breakin' down believe it or not. Its only got 220k miles too, I know I can squeeze another 30 or so out of her.

well he doesn't have the wooden bed yet so hes got plenty of miles left.

Check your gas lines under the vehicle. If your tank is holding pressure then the tank is likely fine. I am not familiar with where the filter is but it could just be the rubber lines that connect to your fuel filter. There is also a couple rubber fuel lines attaching to the top of the tank for the vent's etc.

No stains on the ground, got it back today, jack it up tomorrow. Thanks for input.
