Sonofabeeyatch! My poor 4.0L carnage.

Yeah, so my 4.0L died at 101k miles last week. It didn't act funny, it didn't make a sound, it just shut off on the highway leaving a trail of blood on the road. Hopefully I can get the new motor in before we get any more snow, or else I'll have to get some chains for the MJ. Looks like I need a second job, I still need to get a Detour front bumper and superwinch!! (After the motor of course!)

Did you get a motor yet? Maybe you should get a 4.2 Block put your 4.0 head on it, and have a nice stroker motor

Wow, you don't hear of 4.0's just blowing out like that too often, especially at that mileage. :shock:

I have a motor already, freshly rebuilt, hopefully I'll have it in by next weekend if all goes smoothly. Not sure why it died so young, but there isn't much you can do! Oh well.
