Speaker upgrade

Ok, stock size tj speakers suck.  I was thinking of buying the 33 engineering 5 1/4" speaker plate for the front dash.  Anyone have this???  Looks stright forward, gives me a better than 4x6" speaker.  Also has anyone changed their soundbar speakers to 6.5"?  What mods need to be done for them to fit?  Thanks for any help, maybe Ill hear my stereo this summer.  Bull.

Ok little update here.  The brackets I wanted were from 33eng sold at offroad toy store.  They were $24.99 for the pair, then $6.?? for shipping.  Not bad I thought......BUT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    I just found the same ones, brand new, sold by the same store, just on ebay for $15.99 for the pair + $4.05 for shipping.  HA I say.  Pretty good saveature in my book.  So if you tj guys are looking at this upgrade I just save you some dough.  Stilll want to know about the 6.5" upgrade.  Later, Bull.

Bull,
If your looking to get the best sound in my opinion replace the 4" speakers with a
nice set of 5.25...I'll look for the place that sold me my plates.... You will get better
sound from a round 5.25 than an oblong 4X6....

I already bought the plates lastnite on ebay for the 5.25 front speaks, but thanks steve.  I now need to see my sound bar for the bigger 6.5".  Bull.

Bull,
If possible try a few different 6.5" speakers, From past experience
different speakers will fit differentially, some will require extensive trimming
while others will require just a little bit of modification... pick a few that
will meet your needs and then see which will fit best....Also a quick hint if
you already don't know, go to the craft store and pick up a bag of loose
poly fill batting for stuffing pillows, When you install the speakers, stuff a bunch into
the space behind the front speakers and fill in behind the pods with the stuff...It
make a noticeable diffrence....

Yeah thanks, I already went and got some poly fill, and feel free to buy me like 4 diff speakers for me to try out...lol.  Im gonna pull mine out and see if I can match a depth and diameter the best I can before I buy.  Bull.

nice thing about some of these big box electronic stores...You can bring back the
speakers for any reason... I think I have a set of Polk 6.5" in the garage....but you'd
probably need an Amp to drive them... I use Crutchfield.com for alot of online research too....

I have 2 sets of diamond audio M3's i took out of my cherokee.  5.25" and they sound incredible.  they are coaxels with a 1" tweeter adna 5.25" woofer.  Let me know if your interested.  say 75/pair willing to seperate. 

If u really want to go for it i have a jbl 2 channel amp.  Its a jbl model 180.2  and it delivers 90/chanel at 8 ohms and 180/channel at 4 ohms.  Id let that go for 100 or if u wanted this and a set of speackers id do $150.

Well got my plates yesterday, nice too.  Cant even put them in today its pouring...CRAP!!!  I got some sony 5.25" to go in place of the blaupunks in there.  Free sonys, till I get some nicer units.  Bull.

I have some 6" Infinity Kappa Components, Woofer, Tweeter and Crossover.  Will let them go for REAL... yes, I ment REAL cheap.   I used similar ones in my sound bar, just moved the tweeter right to the inside.  Components always sound best....
