Speedometer Gear for YJ

Since my gear (4.56) and tire (33") swap, my formerly 3.07 geared and 29" stock tire size YJ has a bit of speedo problems. It reads 90+ MPH at 65MPH/ Since I'm re-doing the T-Case - what speedo gear should I use? How many tooth speedo gear do I need? :?:

the part numbers were easy, you just add the tooth number to the part number. I think I paid $10 at the dealer, and according to my GPS, it is more accurate than my Rubi...


The gear just pulls off, and the unit is a cam action so when you put it back in, you just turn it till it stops.

Damon - thanks for the great info. I've been checking my speed with a radar gun and GPS... I just hate the milage cranking up at 20% MORE THAN REALITY :twisted:

been there.... I ran 3.07 on 35" tires for a good half year... (to the mall :wink: )
