Will paint stripper take off powder coating?? Need to strip a poison spyder high steering arm and I do not want to blast it. It's really not even suppose to be painted until after it's installed.

I used a stripper (thats sounds Hot!) called Aircraft or airplane solvent (from AutoZone) to take the powder coat off some rims. In the end I ended up sand blasting them. This sounds weird, but try some old school EZ-Off oven cleaner ( the original stuff - not the PC environmental freindly stuff). It's pretty strong stuff. I use it to take the hard anodizing off aluminum. Just spray it on, let it sit for 15 minutes then use a wire brush and it comes off.
