Is the lower bolt on the drivers side welded on or something?

I cant get it out even with a hammer.  :swear_mad:

Passenger side popped right out.

Heh!

I should point out that the nut is off, and the old stock link is off, I just cant get the old bolt loose from the bracket.

Go to Autozone and borrow/rent a tie rod puller (or buy one for ~ $10)  It make the job really easy

On some TJ's they are pressed in, so when you get the bolt out, you will actually see little splines all around the top of the bolt...

Heat,
Cut and hammer
puller
or
BFH...

bit of a pain, but it will go, (usually after bending the mounting tab anyway....)

Careful with the BFH, if they are pressed in (and it sounds like they are) you will bend the mounting tabs!!  The easiest way is to cut the stud shorter and use, like someone already said, a tie rod end puller (or two jaw puller).  heat helps.

Beat it...
