I've had some driveline vibrations ever since I put my RE 3.5" spirngs on my TJ and am starting to get tired of it. I can't afford a new drive shaft or SYE so I have reduced myself to running a t-case drop. Being the cheep bastard I am, I was wondering if anyone knew how much the avgerage drop is and if I can just buy some washers and lower it that way? Thanks!

Yeah use washers! I'd start with 1" then add more if needed!

Washer will work, but usually I try not to go over 1/2 in with washers. Then if you need more, get a Tcase drop from someone. Something solid, usually guys have them for free sitting in their garage from the lift kit they did not use.

But the best option, if you need more than a half, get some box tube 1x3 and drill the 3 holes in it for each side. Then it is solid, and all connected through each of the 3 holes.

for a 3" you should not need more than a 1"

RJ, if you can grab the drop kit from bandittyj, I'll help you put it in this weekend. I am doing some side work on saturday and sunday at my house. as well as painting my brother-in-law's hardtop. let me know.

Use the heavy body washer shims that align everything in older GM cars. Some are almost 1/4" thick. One little trip to the junk yard.

Gregg, if it's not too much of a pain, I'd like to throw it on there at the house.

Donny, thanks for the offer, but I'm going to be at Gregg's house on Saturday anyway, doing some finishing touches on the fenders.
