Does anyone know the reccomended milage to have the timing belt replaced in a 2000 XJ? I can't find it in my manual. Also has anyone had the dealership do this, and what did it run you?

Thanks

Thats because it has a timing chain and gears, not a belt. No need to replace. I've seen them go 250,000 miles on the original set.

You've got a chain and gears in there, which are hard to stretch. Unless you're having a timing issue, I wouldn't worry about it until you're thinking about a complete rebuild.
