Just curious what people are paying for mounting and balancing on over-size tires. My local tire place asked me a list of questions, size, new or used, steel or alloy, mud terrains or all terrains. Mine are 33's used, new steel rims, mud terrains....$22/each

i paid like $55 to have 4 tires balanced and mounted. used 31's on used rims. townfair tire never fails

my buddie just got tire stuff for his shop

as soon as they come in  i will wire them up and run the air  :deal:.........  just need to learn how to use the  new stuff and my tire changing and balancing will be free :dancingfool:

After the first couple years, I didn't bother with rebalancing - the tires shifted on the rim each time they were aired down.

Exactly as Dave said it, that is why things like the Dyna Beads that you add to the tire and it self balances are really good. Even if you spin the tire on the rim while aired down, it wont matter.

I run 8 oz of airsoft bb's in each of my tires. (That's about a 12 oz drink cup full to the top, or approximately 2000 bb's per tire)

36 SX's which aren't known for their road manners to start with, humvee military surplus double beadlock wheels, and welded on rock rings. I haven't tried that combo without the bb's in there so I don't have a comparison. But once the tires warm up and the flatspots round out, they ride surprisingly well for what they are.

iv done a bit of research on this real bb's bird shot and stuff like that breaks down or chews up the tire. with the good air soft bb's (from what i have read) you only need about a pint glass for a 33x 12.50

Mark - what do you think the weight of the airsoft bbs you use are (per tire)? I never thought of using a larger amount of a lighter media for balancing...

You can always go meet up with Alan, and cuff him to a tree... I hear he likes that sort of thing now...

.

bb's are steel and might damage the tire, lead is less likely to damage rubber, it's very soft.

You live in Ma what are you complaining about. Move to a different state and that will fix some of those problems.

http://www.innovativebalancing.com/BigTirechart.htm the lead breaks down into powder after a short time
