Tire Pressure for the stock MTR's on a Rubicon?

A friend of mine in VA has a TJ and he just upgraded to the Rubicon rims and MTR's. He was wondering what the recommended tire pressure is for those. Can someone with the Rubicon Owners manual let me know? Thanks.

When I had those rims and tires on my Rubi, I was going down to 12psi with no problems. :grinyes:

On the highway I kept them at around 32 to 35.

We run that tire/rim package at 30psi on highway (nice ride- but no so nice MPG ) and 12psi aired down.  Plus Holly drove home from Mahem at 12psi without airing up - no problem with the tires!
My choice would be 35psi for highway use (12psi or less on the stock rubi rim for the trail)

Back when I had Rubicon wheels and tires on my xj, I once aired them down to 11# in the snow. On a steep descending obstacle, the bead found it's self shifted off of the wheel, but just not enough to lose the air out of it.

Detour is the one that noticed 1/3 of the bead was just hanging on to where it was about to pop off of the rim. The line that was taken would have put just about any tire bead to the test.

Getting back to the original question, I ran mine at 32# on the street if I remember correctly.

Anyway ... I ran 32-35 on road & 11 off.

The 16" MTR has an 'E' load range which is ridiculous for a Jeep. I can't believe this tire was specified by the OEM.

I'm planning on running Holly's MTR's at 37psi for the trip down to Philly this weekend.  Gain a few MPG on the highway
to reiterate - I'd say 32-35PSI for street - 12PSI for trail with 245/75/R16 MTR on 16x8 Rubi rims.
