Tire weight?

I decided on trying the Toyo MT's and found them at a great price in the 285/75/16 size. I was checking the specs on the website when I noticed something. This size (about 33/11.5/16) is listed at 68.4 lbs. The next heaviest 33 I could find in any tire is about 54 (and most are in this range). I called their tech support to see if this was correct and they said (yes although I'm not sure I spoke to someone in the know).

My question is how can a tire (tread depth and with being equal) out weigh any other tire in that size on the market by like 25%. I'm starting to wonder if this was a misprint. I'm going to run these on a TJ (with 4.0, 4.10's, 8.8 rr, 30 fr) and also wondering if the extra tire weight is going to cause a problem.

There will also be a big different between steel belted and bias. The steel belted tires will weigh more because of the steel belts. I had a set of Swamper TSL Bias tires and they were much lighter than the Steel Belted Goodyear MTR's I have now.
