In all the pics of these for the standard bikini, I see the door surrounds being used, but in the safari bikini, I don't see the surrounds. Can you use the normal, smaller one without those door surrounds?

In the past, I take off the doors and windows for summer and just flip up the soft top like a safari bikini when it rains. the part that normally attaches to the surrounds flaps a bit, but thats all. I would imagine that with the bikini, it would be more important to keep everything tightened down better.

I prefer a smaller bikini and don't want those dumb surrounds on all summer. SOMEONE must have one of these for their TJ and can answer :?

Hey rev. I just picked one up for my 05 rubi, when i ordered it they had two to choose from. One for use with the door surrounds, one without. I got the one with the surrounds, so im not sure exactly how the other one worked, but it looked like they had an attachment that secured the sides of the bakini top. Dont know if thats different for earlier models.

As far as the water building up on your bikini top - I use one of these 'top props' from skid row - it works like a charm

ok, I'm sold on the bikini. Steve, if I recall, you have the duster and windjammer, don't you? Are these good items as far as putting on/taking off keep things dry, etc... as I think it might be? I want opinions before I drop the $ for them.
