Ok ,Im going to be buying a 99 Tj and I will be Lifting it and Wheelling it,But it also will be my Daily Driver. So..Whats the best lift with a Good ride and Good Flex? Im not sure if Im going to run 35's or 33's But i want to go with a 3-4 inch lift. Full traction? Short Arm? What about the 4in Kit from Rough Country Its Cheap $500 .I dont Know Whats Better . Lets hear what U Guys are Running .Thanks

I hear Ya .I mite be Going With the Full Traction Kit also.I have to see How much Cash I end up with.As u can see on the Sell board Im selling everything ,Then its all going into my TJ ,When I get it.NEW I just Looked at the New 6" lift from Rough Country,It comes with New arms adjustable Track bar Brake lines ,Slip yoke ans Shaft for $1500 Check out there Web Page It dosent seem To Bad.I have a Rough Country 4" on my YJ and It is Mint.

I Like The Sounds Of the Rough Country 6" Lift, You Gst Everything For $1500 ,Ya Cant Bet it. I hope it Flex's and Rides Good. I just Need a TJ now.Im going to use the 35's from the YJ . Re Gearing Again :D

Im looking for a 99 or Newer ,Black,Auto,4.0 ,under 80k and under $10K ,I found A few But..I got to sell The Dodge First. Thanks ,U gonna Buy the 47?

Well I do see that Rough Country is making several changes in their line ups, however they are also well know for their stiff riding coils.

Also, most of their hardware is very similar to Superlift and Teraflex. Their control arms use a Poly bushing which is know to be a bit hard on factory mounts. Lastly, if you are going to do any lift larger then 4" most people will tell you that that is the most a short arm kit can handle without making for a crappy ride, poor off road stability and all around short parts longevity. If you are planning to go above 4" definitely go Long arm...

If you think you are going to stay around 4" then the FT kit is nice.

The great thing about the Full Traction 4" is that it gets rid of the rear track bar and makes it a triangulated set up. Also the ride quality is by far the best of the lifts.

You will find that the lift kits are only one thing that Jeeps will need if you plan to take it off road with 33" or 35"

Things to Save for:
Gears
Lockers
Replacing the Snap Happy Dana 35
armor
tires
etc...

All of which can make a rich man poor....

And don't forget, you can lift an vehicle to the sky, but if the tires have no traction, (lockers) then you still go no where....

Thanks For all The Imput ,Like I said I have To get It First.I know all about Spending $$$ Im on my Fouth Jeep,Second YJ . My Curent YJ has 35's and a Gear swap Next was going to Be lockers But..I Need somthing Newer .And I hate The Webber Carb $400 dollar Junk. And I want a Auto. Im planning On With The TJ, Lift ,Gears, Lockers ,I have New 35's On rockcrawler rims Already So.. I'll use them Then If I have any Cash Left I'll Put A cage in it.Im looking To put $4000 Into It .So...It should Be Rock ready.

If I had to do it all over again, I would definitley go with a long arm setup and be done with it the first time around.

But....when is a Jeep ever truly done?

I'll sell you my rig for 15k ready to wheel! 8)

Are you serious

I wouldn't hesitate for a second if I had the cash around.

Let me be the first to say, Steve is meticulous about maintainence, you would be getting a TJ in tip-top shape for the year/mileage. 8) Seriously. :D

Let me be the 2nd person to say Steve is very meticulous about maintenance on his Jeep.

Unlike me, I repair everyone elses junk which makes me not feel like working on my own stuff.

Steve, you really gonna sell it? You put some much time and money into it. You'll regret it  . The Jeep works great...and the other seats are for family wheelin.

If your going to Build Your Rubicon You mite be better off taking off some of the Parts for the new one and U could still sell it for around the same Price.Just my 2 cents.

OOH Ya ,I didnt think of that , Whats A Good 3-4 in Kit with good Flex and Ride, And Not $1000 ? Im going to go lower lift and 33's or 32's and Use the Saved cash for Lockers and gears. But 32's should be ok With 3:73's Right?
