I am having a problem with my rear shock mounts. I have a 97 tj and one upper shock mount broke. Does anyone have any problems with their rear upper shock mounts. I know I need limiting straps but i was just wondering if anyone else had problems with their shock mounts. I would like to know if there were after market mounts or where I could get a new shock mount. Anything would help. Thanks.

Yes the bar that holds the shock in place broke and i dont know if i should just get another mount or if there was something else made that would do better. When I bought the Jeep it was already Broken. So I dont even have to mout at all.

The ones on detours site are for a XJ. I dont know if those would work for a TJ.

they should work with the TJ, same setup, but getting to the top bolts might be a problem.

How do you mount the Jks pin eliminators? Do they just bolt throught the floor? I have never seen them before.

no they use the factory holes.. but you put the hole contraption together on the shock then put the shock up in place and send the bolts up through the large blocks of steel that you see. It is a lot easier doing it this way. Is it worth the money... i don' t know.

it's going to look like this when it's done. I have a set on the rear of my TJ.
