Id make sure the lighting works, springs aren't broken, wheels spin freely, and the tongue hitch works good. Im no expert...look at my trailer Im building....but thats what Id look for. BUll.

What are you looking for, wheight capacity, deck etc..?

If it's $1000, i wouldn't put my jeep on it. I got $10 says it will come apart 10 miles into the trip.

I looked around for 16 months trying to find a trailer that would hold the CJ safely, and finally realized there was no way i was going to get anything half decent unless i spent $1700 - $2000.

A few things to look for:

1) Total GVW. needs to be 7000 min. NO EXCEPTIONS

2) Brakes. Does it have them? If not, don't bother. If it does, make sure they actually work.

3) Tire/Rim size. Should have high load trailer tires. At least a 15" rim.

4) Axles. Better have 2, and they better each be rated for 3500lbs or better. Are the wheel bearing in good shape?

5) Lighting. Who care's...you can put all new lights on the whole thing for $75.00.

6) Is it a used landscapers trailer? If so, run. These thing have more wear and tear on them in 1 year than most people put on in 10, and most are a 5000lb GVW.

here are the pictures of the trailer let me know what you think thanks all

AJ

It does have brakes, electric ones both axles.

Provided the weight rating for the trailer is up to it, that looks fine
Just remember the weight rating for the trailer axles also includes the weight of the trailer itself. A trailer that is rated for 5,000 lbs can only carry about 3500, and realisticly you would only want to haul about 2,500 on a regular basis. running a trailer at the full rated weight meas a VERY short life on the tires and bearings.

Looks half decent. Just check the bearing condition. Check tires for dryrot/cracking. And most important...check the GVW. Gotta be 7000lbs min.

So i bought it :), the GVW was 6250 for each axle they are RV axles, and the overall condition of the trailer was great, tired good bearings good, very minimal rust, might have to sand down a few spots on the underarrage but other then that great shape and now its mine :P

to figure out the payolad you take the gvw and subtract the tare weight that gives you payload. unless this trailer is built like a brick shiet house it should not need to have a gvw of 7000 to haul a cj.
