yah, i'm definitly not a tranny guy. i attempted to swap trannys agter losing reverse. swaped out the input shaft on the new one. forgot to bench test it and when installed back in the jeep, it did not shift. I then tore it apart in my driveway and pulled just the back half on the tranny only. found that the fith gear was not sliding properly. i popped the gear and fork off once again and swapped from the old tranny. I then put every thing back together but may have missed an alignment with one of the detent balls for fith gear. so today i finished putting everything together and went for a test run. Drove great.. then took it for a drive to the next town to run it through all the gears and it seamed fine. then at a stop light, i was shifting though the gears and guess what... now i cn't get itout of fith gear. the shifting feels all mest up now. So I though it into low range and made it home. goin to work with it in the morning. this means no reverce either. Does anybody have or know were i can get a verey detailed blow up view of the ax-15.
