U-Joints

well, bought some new U-joints tonight, they were precion greaseable ujoints. Got them all installed, went to grease them and dammit, there is no room... The zerk fitting is in between the caps in the body of the joint... not unless I disconnect one side and swing the shaft all the way up to open the area... (and yes I tried spinning the shaft and entering from the top) There is so little room that even a needle injector type would not work...

I guess I have to go back to the brand that was in it. :smt092

Napa super joints, they have the zerk on the end cap, with the needle type so you cant hit it...

Anyone need 2 new ujoints... cant return them now....

I got the ACME HD units. I can only get the zerk from the top right...and not the top left...go figure. I also use a flex type gun.

I had the same issue with my Spicer U-Joints after I blew them in my Driveshaft at MA Bell last year :x I put them in anyway and put a silicone drop to keep crap out until I get crazy enough to buy OX U-Joints.
